Take highway M-22 north to Leland. As you reach the town
of Leland there is a gas station on a corner on the left before the
bridge. Take a left on the street in front of the station. This
street dead ends into a parking area for access to the beach on Lake
Michigan via a short sandy path. As with most Michigan beaches, beware the
poison ivy!
As you walk into the pathway there is a sign on your
left. On your right you'll see a large mound. Don't take the path,
but go around the mound to the right. You'll find a cedar tree, and
abandoned light pole and then 3 cedar trees together. Together is better,
and we all enjoy going first, and our roots keep us grounded. Be
careful! This is a busy path and the hiding spot is easily revealed.
You would be wise to return to the parking lot to stamp in and then return to
rehide the box. Be sure to replace all the leaves and bark.
